Warranty & Returns Policy

If you’re experiencing issues with a product, the first step is to reach out to our team. Many problems can be resolved remotely without needing to send the item back, saving you time and hassle. Contact us via:

General Warranty Guidelines

All products sold by Gamer Tech come with manufacturer warranties, which vary by brand and item type. We enforce these warranty durations strictly, in line with our supplier agreements.

We strongly recommend contacting us as soon as you suspect a fault. The sooner we’re made aware, the more options we’ll have to resolve the issue quickly and effectively.


Components and Pre-Built PCs

If you built your own PC:

Diagnosing which part is faulty is your responsibility. If you'd like us to test individual components and diagnose the issue for you, this is a billable service and is separate from the warranty process.

If you’d prefer peace of mind, we recommend our Gamer Tech Pro Build & Test Service, starting from $99, which includes a full system warranty.

Where a product is found not to be faulty after testing, Gamer Tech may charge for diagnostic time and costs.


Returns for Online Orders

Start the process by logging into your MyGamerTech account at

You’ll be guided to:

  • Select the product
  • Describe the issue
  • Upload any relevant photos or videos
  • Download a return authorisation PDF

Do not return goods until you have a return authorisation and instructions from us. Products returned without documentation may be delayed or rejected.

DOA Products (Under 14 Days):

If your item is less than 14 days old and is faulty, Gamer Tech will cover return shipping. After submitting your return request, we’ll issue a prepaid return label.
Note: We cannot reimburse courier costs unless we’ve provided the label.

Older Than 14 Days:

You're responsible for the return freight unless your product has an onsite warranty. Please confirm with us before sending anything. Once repaired or replaced, Gamer Tech will ship the item back to you at our cost.

All items must be securely packaged to avoid damage during transit. Responsibility for damage during return shipping lies with the sender.


Gamer Tech Custom Built PCs

We stand by our builds 100%. We use high-quality components, stress test every system before it ships, and back it all with real support.

DOA (Under 14 Days): We’ll cover return shipping.

 

After 14 Days:

  • Return to Base Warranty: You are responsible for return shipping. We will cover the return freight back to you once the issue is resolved.

Please ensure your PC is well-packaged. Damage due to poor packaging may void the warranty.


Wrong or Damaged Items Upon Delivery

If your item arrives damaged or is incorrect:

  • Report the issue within 14 days of confirmed delivery.
  • Email orders@gamertech.com.au with photos and order details.

Due to insurance limitations, reports made after 14 days may not be accepted.


Damage, Modification & Improper Use

Warranty does not cover:

  • Physical or liquid damage
  • Overclocking or use outside of recommended specs
  • Modifications affecting reliability or performance
  • Removal or tampering with warranty seals

If in doubt, check with us before making modifications.


Change of Mind Returns

Gamer Tech does not currently offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind. Please choose carefully and feel free to ask for advice before making a purchase. We’re happy to help you find the right product for your needs.


Proof of Purchase

To process a warranty claim, we need proof of purchase. The best form is your tax invoice, which can be accessed anytime by logging into your Gamer Tech account.
We may not be able to process returns without sufficient proof.


If You’re Not the Original Purchaser

Our warranty agreements are with the original purchaser only. If you’ve purchased a product second-hand, please refer to the person or business you purchased it from. Many manufacturers may allow you to submit a claim directly.


Australian Consumer Law

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a replacement, refund, or compensation for major failures, and to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality.

Consumer guarantees are not limited by the manufacturer’s warranty and can still apply after it expires. For more information, visit:
